Criminal Thinking

8 Hour Intensive Course

In this intensive 8 hour course the participant is taught to identify and recognize their own errors in thinking. The course is broken down into 2-4 hr group sessions. The 2nd week is to be utilized for the individual to complete their own self work required in this course.

Participants are taught when these thinking errors are not corrected it will continue to lead them to irresponsible behavior and many times legal problems. Participants work within a group setting as peers in the group support each other in learning how to identify these errors and identify the tactics they have used to avoid accountability. It is not always an arrestable offense. This type of thinking can cause an individual to live against social and moral rules as well; affecting all areas of their life by their own choice. The participants come to see they are not really in control of their lives. In realizing this they begin to see how constantly jeopardizing their own future while harming others is not acceptable. Errors in thinking are created when a person has to change the way they think in order to remove concern for others and society; thus justifying the harm. It becomes a pattern; a way of life.

The goals of the course are to teach the participants HOW to think not WHAT to think. The group helps the participants to look at the pattern; as they are use to thinking and focusing on the isolated event called “fractured” thinking thus failing to see their own patterns. They are then given tools to intervene on these patterns of thinking to promote internal change and deter this type of thinking. In addition, we work with the participants on the thinking, actions, and understanding behind a responsible mature way of life. We empower them with how to utilize respect, empathy, self-control, personal responsibility, honest, cooperation, obligations, fear, independent living, and honor as principles to actually apply in their lives.
